1. Technical characteristics:

With this robust and elegant electric scooter from the Swiss brand HIKERBOY, you will have no trouble making all your daily trips!

Thanks to its powerful 500 watt motor, you will reach a maximum speed of 20 km/h in its version approved for Switzerland – but up to 35 km/h in the unlocked version. The HIKERBOY FOXTROT PLUS also has a 48V / 10.4Ah battery to easily ride up to 45 kilometers on a single charge; this battery is also removable, you can take it everywhere with you to recharge it wherever you want.

For absolute comfort, the HIKERBOY FOXTROT PLUS has a solid aluminum frame; wide deck and handlebars; 10-inch tubeless tires; ergonomic handles; as well as front and rear suspensions.

In addition, sloping roads are no problem for it: indeed, this model can overcome slopes of up to 20 degrees. To avoid spoiling anything, this electric scooter can accept a load weight of up to 130 kg maximum. And for added safety, the HIKERBOY FOXTROT PLUS also has powerful front and rear headlights.

If the control screen displays all the useful information during your journey, you can also use an application (available on the Apple Store and the Play Store) thanks to the integrated Bluetooth and the special support provided for smartphones. How to assemble the electric scooter:

The scooter is delivered to you already assembled. With a charger, the user manual, and a set of keys for the battery.

How to unfold / close the electric scooter:

To fold the scooter, hold the steering column and release the hinge by pushing the button up, then the lever down. Next, lower the column until you hear a "click", indicating that the handlebar is securely attached to the rear slot.

To unfold the scooter, press the rear safety slot to release the column, and lift it until it is flush with the hinge. Finally, lift the hinge until it is attached to the steering column: you should hear a "click".

How to charge the battery:

Important: Before your first use of the electric scooter, connect the battery by opening the tray using the keys provided. To do this, turn a lathe, lift the tray and connect the cable. Then fully charge the battery and do not interrupt the charging process.

Since the battery is removable, you can either charge it from the scooter or remove it to charge it directly.

If you want to charge the battery from the HIKERBOY FOXTROT PLUS scooter, just lift the rubber cover above the charging port, then connect the charger to your socket to charge the battery.

If you wish to remove the battery to recharge it, unlock the scooter deck on each side (by turning one turn with the key provided) then lift the deck. Disconnect the battery, move the charger to the side, then remove the battery using the handle: then you can open the top cover of the battery to connect it to the charger. Once fully charged, reposition the battery by plugging it back into the holder and closing the tray, simply pressing the push buttons on either side.

The charger light is red when the battery is charging, and turns green when charging is complete.

3. Maintenance and care:

How to take care of the battery:

Only use the original charger supplied with the scooter to charge the battery: do not use chargers from other brands.

Avoid fully discharging the battery and leaving it discharged for a long time. To optimize battery performance, fully charge the battery at least once a month.

Don't charge your battery if it's already full, and don't leave it charging overnight unattended.

Do not store the scooter with the battery fully charged for a prolonged period (more than a month). If you need to store your electric scooter, charge the battery to around 60% beforehand. Store it in a dry place at a temperature of 10 to 15°C (make sure that the ambient temperature does not drop below 5°C).

4. Maintenance and care:

To prolong the life of your scooter as much as possible, regularly check the tightness of the screws, wheels, folding system, handlebars and brakes. If any parts become loose, tighten them by turning them clockwise. Also pay attention to any signs of damage or wear.

You can clean your electric scooter with a damp cloth, but do not use water or special liquids for cleaning. Indeed, it is important to avoid water contact with electronic components, because your electric scooter is not waterproof: it is simply protected against splashing water (IP54 standard). You can therefore ride in light rain or on wet ground, but you should avoid prolonged riding on very wet ground or in heavy rain.
