The ZOOM E-brake hydraulic system is a high-end braking system that offers more braking power, is more durable, faster/reliable, and provides predictable pad retraction when releasing the brakes. It is virtually maintenance-free (except for worn pads).

Standard brake systems require frequent maintenance – eliminate all that by upgrading to hydraulic brakes!

Since the hydraulic system is sealed, no dirt can enter and block the moving parts, making them virtually maintenance-free (replacing worn pads is almost all that needs to be done)! Hydraulic systems are also easier to set up and adjust.

What Exactly is a Hydraulic Brake and How Does It Differ from the Standard Mechanical Disc Brake?

Standard mechanical brakes use a cable to actuate the brakes, and just like derailleur cables, they can stretch and get dirty, affecting braking performance. Mechanical brakes also do not hold up as well as hydraulic brakes.

Hydraulic brakes use brake fluid, and when you press the brake lever, the fluid is compressed, and the brakes engage. Larger custom discs are also used, which are more resistant to warping. This method provides stronger and more reliable braking performance. Since hydraulic brakes are a closed system, you don't have to worry about dirt and mud affecting your performance unless you contaminate your pads, but this also applies to mechanical brakes.

ATTENTION:

• The Zoom hydraulic brake does not include discs (if required, please purchase separately).
• Do not remove the red seal before installation to avoid oil leakage or even scrapping due to the empty brake.
