The latest edition from South Korean electric scooter manufacturer Minimotors is the powerful DUALTRON THUNDER 3: hang in there, it's going to blow your mind! Its technical characteristics do not lie. This revisited model of the famous THUNDER is one of the most advanced on the market today, with formidable performance displayed.
The DUALTRON THUNDER 3 is equipped with a high performance dual motor (one front, one rear). Displaying a maximum power of 10080W in total. In the blink of an eye, you will be able to reach a speed of up to 100 km/h. Ideal for use on private roads, but also in off-road mode... for more sensations!
But that's not all. The powerful battery of the DUALTRON THUNDER 3 of 72V 40Ah, composed of LG 21700 cells (among the best on the market). It will allow you to reach a range of nearly 170 km on a single charge. So one thing is certain: you will not see the kilometers go by! As for driving comfort, it is ensured by an adjustable suspension at the front and rear.
To allow you to ride safely, the DUALTRON THUNDER 3 electric scooter has a NUTT hydraulic disc brake system at the front and rear. It is also equipped with front/rear disc brakes. Coupled with a patented high-performance magnetic/electric braking system and ABS. Its very wide CST tubeless tires (11 inches) ensure better grip and optimal comfort when on the move.
In addition, many lights allow you to be clearly visible whatever the time of day. Brake lights, red LED rear light, 4 LED front lights… It is also possible to activate orange lights via controls on the centralized control area. The DUALTRON THUNDER 2 is also equipped with a powerful horn.

No assembly operation is necessary: the DUALTRON THUNDER 3 electric scooter will be delivered to you assembled in its box (Lithium battery included). Only the handlebar must be fixed before any use.
To unfold the scooter, simply pull the metal latch located at the bottom of the handlebar. Then close the latch once the handlebars are fully unfolded.
This model also has a closure system on the handlebars, which must be correctly adjusted to your size before the first outing. Remember to regularly check that these closing elements are properly tightened in order to avoid any vibration while driving.
Note: the height of the handlebars is not adjustable on this model.
To unfold the scooter, first raise the handlebars (steering column) by releasing the quick release lever. Then pull up the two locking latches. Then properly lock all the foldable parts. Finally unfold the handlebars, and fix it firmly.
To fold the scooter, first fold the handlebars and the steering column: to do this, after folding the handlebars, unscrew the two quick-release latches outwards and fold the steering column down. When the latter is folded, secure it with the locking latch and the quick-release lever. You can then secure the handlebars using the foldable locking device.
This model also has a locking system on the handlebar that you have to adjust to your body height before your first ride. Remember to check regularly that these locking elements are properly tightened to avoid vibrations.
Newly equipped with the new EY4 display!! To switch on the DUALTRON Thunder 3 electric scooter, press the "Power" button for 3 seconds. The display will light up immediately.
Driving speed, battery level, mileage and speed are shown on the display. Depending on the speed that you select by pressing the white circle, the electric scooter has different types of acceleration. However, it's more fun to put in a high gear and then adjust the speed with the finger throttle while driving.
To switch off the electric scooter, press and hold the "Power" button for three seconds.
With the "Mode" button you can change the display from mileage to odometer or to the battery voltage.
If you hold down the "Mode" button for three seconds, you will enter the submenu of the electric scooter:
P0 corresponds to the size of the wheel. With the DUALTRON Thunder 3, choose number 11 for 11 inches.
P1 corresponds to the voltage of the controller. On the DUALTRON Thunder 3 there is a 72 volt controller.
P2 is the number of magnets in the motor, i.e. H. 10.
P3 must stay at 0
P5 is the start security. If you select 0, the scooter starts as soon as you operate the throttle. If you choose 1, you will need to physically propel the scooter before accelerating. The idea is to avoid accidentally starting the electric scooter.
P6 corresponds to "Tempomat". If you drive at a constant speed for 5 seconds, the scooter will stop at that speed until you apply the brakes. It is recommended to disable this feature.
P7 is the start acceleration type. You can adjust the engine power when accelerating. The higher the number (between 0 and 5), the smoother the acceleration.
With P8 you can limit the motor output. By selecting 5, you are limiting the speed of the scooter very significantly.
P9 is the battery saving mode. The higher the number, the more gently the scooter accelerates and limits the top speed.
PA stands for EBS or electronic brake. In mode 0 you have no electronic braking.
With Pb you can adjust the brightness of the LCD screen of the display.
PC is the time in minutes from which the DUALTRON Thunder 3 electric scooter goes into sleep mode.
With Pd you can activate or deactivate ABS.
One of the special features of this model is the LED system integrated in the deck and steering column. An infrared remote control is supplied with the scooter. To ensure proper operation of the remote control when changing lights, it is important to aim at the base of the handlebar. This is where the recipient is located. Lights play an aesthetic role, but they also have the advantage of making you more visible when driving. The LED lighting can also be switched off.
In order to extend the service life of a lithium-ion battery, it is strongly recommended to keep the charge level of the battery between about 70% and 100%. Do not charge the battery when it is already full (do not leave it to charge overnight) and never discharge the battery completely. When you charge your scooter, be sure to connect the charger to the power supply before connecting the electric scooter.
If you store the electric scooter for several months, it is important not to fully charge the battery, but to store the electric scooter with a charge level of approx. 60%. Always store the electric scooter in a place protected from moisture and at a temperature of at least 5 ° C. It can take up to 10 hours to fully charge a DUALTRON Thunder 3. It is therefore strongly recommended to order a second charger to cut the charging time by half.
Charging a lithium battery should be done under adult supervision. It is also important that you charge your electric scooter away from flammable materials (fabrics, paper, liquids, etc.). You can find more information about maintaining your battery on our blog.
It is important to check the tightness of the screws and the brakes very regularly, but at least once a month, as a scooter is exposed to a lot of vibrations while driving. Also remember to check the tire pressure regularly. With this model, it is advisable to inflate the tires to a pressure of 3.5 bar (50 PSI). Your electric scooter is cleaned with a damp sponge. Please note that this model is not waterproof. Do not use water or cleaning fluids for maintenance.
